The planned 19,000-square-metre €40-million structure is to be erected on the north bank of the River Neris, on Konstitucijos Avenue, and is to include a 300-room hotel.

Bids for the building's design have been submitted by Studio Fuksas from Italy, Arrow and PLH Arkitekter from Denmark, KOKO Architects from Estonia and Studio Libeskind from the US.

Lithuanian bidders include R.Paleko ARCH Studija, AKG, SP Architektų Grupė, G.Natkevičius ir Partneriai, and Arches.

The winner of the contest will be announced this Friday.
