Over 120 events are planned in more than 60 locations across Lithuania under the common theme of "Cultural Landscape: from Hillforts to City Towers", the Cultural Heritage Department said.

This year's program, which includes tours of hillforts and sites offering panoramic views, puts emphasis on the diversity of Lithuania's historical and cultural landscape, its uniqueness and value, it said.

The European Heritage Days initiative is aimed at drawing the public's attention to cultural heritage and raising awareness of its value and the importance of preserving it.
