Ruling LFGU party plans no new coalition partners
Ramunas Karbauskis, chairman of the Lithuanian Farmers and Greens Union's (LFGU), says that they do not plan to bring any new partners into the ruling coalition.
"We expected certain changes in other political groups (in the Seimas). No such changes occurred during those two weeks and we are not planning to include any new partners into the coalition," Karbauskis told the LRT.lt portal.
"Unless something changes, we will stay with 69 votes (in the 141-seat parliament), which some try to call a minority," the LFGU leader said.
"We have enough votes to adopt decisions. We are not going to formally seek 71 (votes) to be called a majority. This is the decision," he added.
