Seimas passes resolution in support of Polish reforms
Lithuania's parliament on Thursday adopted a resolution on support to Poland.
According to the resolution, the Lithuanian parliament "in support of the successful reforms to strengthen families in Poland, supports the successful reforms and considers implementing them in Lithuania."
At the same time, the parliament "expresses support and solidarity with Poland over the start of the European Union procedures, recommending to address the issue of possible sanctions by way of dialogue."
Around 50 of Lithuania's 141 lawmakers registered for the evening part of the Thursday's plenary that discusses opposition agenda. The quorum requirement does not apply to resolutions.
