Lithuania's Kaunas expects to attract Ukraine Intl Airlines to local airport - daily
After meeting with executives of Ukraine International Airlines last week, the Kaunas city municipality expects to have a route from its local airport to Kiev, Kauno Diena daily said on Monday.
"It was them who initiated the meeting. They came to present their company and share ideas. It was simply a meeting to get to know each other, and later we will provide them with various information about Kaunas, demonstrate the city's potential for the company to decide whether they are interested in our market," Kaunas Vice-Mayor Simonas Kairys said.
Ukraine International Airlines currently flies passengers from the country's capital Vilnius.
The Kaunas airport has 15 routes, with another direction to Warsaw to be added in spring.
