Lithuanian port city's police probing death of Irish citizen
Police of the Lithuanian port city of Klaipėda are investigating circumstances of the death of an Irish citizen who died in hospital on Thursday after being discovered wandering the streets in early hours of the day.
The man was rushed to hospital in a critical condition at 5 a.m. on Thursday morning from Galinio Pylimo Street where he was found next to a filling station without outer clothing, the police said.
Disappearance of an Irish citizen from a hotel on Galinio Pylimo Street was reported at 9 a.m. A check of his room revealed toppled furniture and other items.
The man passed away in hospital at around 3 p.m. on Thursday due to what doctors said medication poisoning and liver failure.
