MP does not consider giving up mandate amid sexual misconduct allegations
MP Mykolas Majauskas of the conservative Homeland Union – Lithuanian Christian Democratic Party does not yet consider resignation from the parliament amid the sexual misconduct allegations he has been faced with.
Majauskas denies the accusations.
"I have not yet thought about this (departure from the parliament), I value the confidence vested in my by my electorate, I intend to proceed with the work I have been doing," he told BNS on Tuesday.
In a press release issued earlier in the day, Majauskas said he was suspending membership in the conservative party "until all doubts are dispelled."
