Joint EU response to spy poisoning in Britain expected next week - Lithuanian president
Some members of the European Union (EU) will decide early next week on a joint response to Russia on the poisoning of a former spy in the United Kingdom, Lithuania's President Dalia Grybauskaitė said on Friday.
"Certain coordination is in progress. I believe that there will be a coordinated action at the beginning of next week," Grybauskaitė told Brussels journalists.
She earlier said that Lithuania was considering expulsion of Russian spies operating under the disguise as diplomats.
In her words, similar decisions can be made by other EU countries.
"With this, we will say that we know that you're here, we know who you and what you do, therefore, we are expelling you," said Grybauskaitė.
