Lithuania surprised at "imperial nostalgia" amid Adidas' USSR clothing offer
Lithuanian diplomats were left baffled by still occasional "imperial nostalgia" amid German sportswear producer Addidas' offer to buy clothes with Soviet symbols.
Lithuania's Ministry of Foreign Affairs shared a photo on Twitter, showing an Adidas women's shirt with a USSR sign on it.
"Being sick with "imperial nostalgia" - it still occurs. A bit surprising from the famous @adidas, though," the ministry said in a tweet that was later retweeted by Foreign Minister Linas Linkevičius.
Lithuania was occupied by the Soviet Union in1940–1941 and 1944–1990.
