Lithuanian MEP Paksas starting new civic movement - media
Lithuania's impeached former president, MEP Rolandas Paksas is starting a new civic movement, the 15 news website reported on Friday.
"I wouldn't rule out such a possibility," Paksas, a member of the Order and Justice party, told the website when asked about his plans to found a new movement.
"As I already said half a year ago, I believe that today we need a new civic organization drawing together people who are still thinking, all people, for the purpose of the survival of the nation," he said.
Paksas says that all people, including members of all political parties, who support the idea "the nation -- Lithuania -- the state -- the national state" will be welcome in the new movement.
Petras Gražulis, another member of the Order and Justice party, has confirmed that he would join it.
