No gas price changes for Lithuanian residents expected
Gas prices for Lithuanian residents should not change as of July. The country's National Commission for Energy Control and Prices is expected to decide on Thursday on the prices of gas supplied by Lietuvos Dujų Tiekimas.
If the Commission approves the tariffs, LDT clients consuming up to 500 cubic meters of gas per year will continue paying 0.59 euros for a cubic meter. There are around 470,000 such residents in Lithuania.
Those consuming over 500 cubic meters of gas per year (over 100,000 residents) will pay 0.39 euros per cubic meter, and those consuming over 20,000 cubic meters per year will continue paying 0.38 euros per cubic meter.
The last time gas prices changed early this year but only for those consuming under 500 cubic meters per year. The price went down 7.8 percent from 0.64 to 0.59 euros.
All consumers saw rises in gas prices by several cents last July.
