Tapinas named most influential journalist in Lithuania – survey
Andrius Tapinas, a TV host and founder of the internet television Laisvės TV, has been named the most influential journalist in Lithuania, according to a survey by Spinter Tyrimai for the delfi.lt news website, published on Wednesday.
Lifestyle and talk show host Rūta Mikelkevičiūtė, journalist Edita Mildažytė, political scientist Rimvydas Valatka, TV host Audrė Kudabienė, former TV host and journalist Algimantas Čekuolis and TV journalists Rita Miliūtė and Daiva Žeimytė also got into the TOP-10.
Meanwhile, representatives of the elite in Lithuania, surveyed by magazine Reitingai, have a slightly different opinion and consider Jakilaitis the most influential journalist in the country. Monika Garbačiauskaitė-Budrienė, head of the national broadcaster LRT, came in second, Tapinas was third and Valatka was fourth.
TV host Indrė Makaraitytė follows with Rolandas Barysas, editor-in-chief of the Verslo Žinios business daily, Lietuvos Rytas political scientist Vytautas Bruveris, Mildažytė and Vladimiras Laučius, editor-in-chief of the lrt.lt news website.
Spinter Tyrimai carried out its survey of 1,003 people for delfi.lt on June 19-27.
Reitingai polled 861 representatives of the elite on May 14-June 7.
