Ušackas to announce if he'll run for Lithuanian president Wednesday
Vygaudas Ušackas, a Lithuanian diplomat and former foreign minister, plans to announce on Wednesday whether or not he will run in next year's presidential election.
Ušackas, 53, held the post of foreign minister in 2008 to 2010. He has served as ambassador to the United States, Britain, Afghanistan and Russia.
Economist Gitanas Nausėda is also expected to announce his decision this month.
Both men will also have to decide this month whether to contest in the conservative Homeland Union–Lithuanian Christian Democrats' primaries for next May's presidential election.
