Russian diplomat pulled over for apparent drunk driving in Klaipėda
A Russian diplomat was pulled over for apparent drunk driving in the Lithuanian port city of Klaipėda on Wednesday evening, but refused to take a breathalyzer test, the Police Department said.
The third secretary of Russia's Consulate General, identified by his initials A. T., smelled of alcohol when his VW Jetta car with diplomatic number plates was stopped by police in Šiaulių Street.
The 32-year-old man refused a breathalyzer test by citing diplomatic immunity.
The car was driven back to the consulate by a member of the staff.
