Instead of currently operated 13 weekly flights, SAS will offer 18 weekly flights, i.e., on weekdays SAS will be operating three flights per day, and on weekends there will be up to two flights per day.
"Demand on Palanga - Copenhagen route continues growing, therefore, in order to meet customers' needs, from 12 October we are increasing the frequency on this popular route by one third. Additional flights will be operated during the weekdays and in the evenings, therefore, our passengers will be able to reach their place of destination after working hours," said Rūta Jučienė, SAS General Manager Baltic States and Russia.
In total, Scandinavian Airlines SAS operates over 46 weekly flights between the main airports in Scandinavia and Lithuania. This includes 19 weekly flights between Vilnius and Copenhagen and 14 weekly flights between Vilnius and Stockholm, as well as over 13 weekly flights between Palanga and Copenhagen (during the summer months the frequency on this route is being increased). On 29 October, SAS will also open a new Vilnius - Oslo route with four weekly flights.
