Court sentences Russian man to 10 years in prison for spying
The Vilnius Regional Court on Friday sentenced Nikolai Filipchenko, a Russian citizen, to ten years in prison for spying.
Judge Regina Pocienė said that the 40-year-old man, who was detained in 2015, was an officer of Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB).
According to the court, Filipchenko used false documents to conceal his true identity and repeatedly crossed the country's border illegally.
